WhatsApp became one of the most used applications, but shortly after Facebook bought it for 22 billion dollars, things got even better for the application. Currently, WhatsApp has over 700 million active users and there are more and more people who register great application using their mobile phone numbers.
Today we’re going to tell you on how to install WhatsApp on your Nokia Asha device or Symbian 40 device such as Nokia C3. The new WhatsApp version for these devices is currently 2.12.65 (Beta).
It is good to know that Nokia Asha touchscreen devices can now use WhatsApp Web, which will allow you to use your WhatsApp account on your Google Chrome from your computer. To do this, you will just have to open the application, tap on the menu and select “WhatsApp Web”. After that, open Google Chrome on your computer and search for WhatsApp Web and head to the first page it finds. Once the page loads, you will notice that there is a QR code, which you will need to scan by using your Nokia Asha via the WhatsApp Web (this new feature is found on the new version of WhatsApp). However, when it comes to Nokia Asha or Symbian S40 devices that don’t feature touch screen, the WhatsApp Web is not (yet) available.

Keep in mind that this version of WhatsApp is not yet available in Nokia Store (currently called Opera Mobile Store), so in order to get it you will have to go to the WhatsApp official webpage and download the .jad file on your device. After you download the .jad file on your device, install it and use your mobile phone number to get verified. Once you get verified you will be able to start using this great application along with WhatsApp Web feature. By using WhatsApp Web you will make your life easier while you are nearby a computer, as you will be able to chat with your friends easier from your computer.
Keep in mind that Beta versions often come with bugs and errors so there is a high possibility that you may see some application crashes or something similar while running a Beta version of an application.
WhatsApp for Nokia Asha and Symbian 40 is free for the first year, but after that you will need to pay 0.99 dollars per year to keep using it.
