Will GTA 6 Sell Better Than GTA 5? Everything Is Possible

Source: earlygame.com

The GTA series is one of the best out there, and, without a doubt, GTA 6 will definitely be even more than that. GTA 5 has sold over 155 million copies, and there’s only Minecraft that has better sales. GTA 5 even made more than a billion dollars in the first three days of release. Everyone was so excited about it.

We might have to wait a bit until we’re getting GTA 6, but everyone is eagerly waiting for it. It will smash records, that’s for sure. But will it surpass GTA 5 in sales? It actually depends on the company’s decisions about the game.

Before releasing GTA 6, they might first need to stop giving support to GTA 5. Its online mode is very popular, and if they stop investing time in it, and start doing more for GTA 6, the new game from the series has all of the odds in its favor.

Will the sales of GTA 5 be affected?

Of course, GTA Online is why the company has sold millions of GTA 5 copies. The single-player story hasn’t been updated since 2013, but GTA Online receives updates continually.

It has been said that Rockstar wants to sell GTA Online as a standalone title for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This means that there will be fewer players who will buy GTA 5 if they only want to get the online mode. But after GTA 6 gets released, everyone will focus on it and its online modes.

Rockstar will probably stop operations for the PS4 and Xbox One at some point, as they did with PS 3 and Xbox 360.

The support for GTA 5 will definitely stop, especially after the new game gets out. But let’s not forget that those copies were sold in several years, and it might be just the same with GTA 6.
