WhatsApp is an application used by over 800 million active users and it is growing pretty fast. There are a lot of new people from all parts of the world joining the application, mostly because of the new Voice Calling feature that was firstly released for the Android users.
Currently, the Voice Calling feature is available for Android, iOS and BlackBerry 10, but according to rumors, it will soon be released for Nokia Asha and S40 Symbian devices! However, these rumors were not confirmed by the WhatsApp developers, so we should take them with a bit of salt.
Nokia has released the Nokia Asha range of devices for the users who wanted a smartphone that comes with many features, but they can’t afford to spend too much money on it. It seems that these devices were well received by a lot of users.
The devices are being sold like candies because they cost around 60-100 dollars. The battery life is pretty good and there are a lot of important features that work on these devices. Without any doubts, the Nokia Asha devices are a pretty good alternative if you can’t afford to buy an expensive smartphone.
However, the production of these devices has been stopped after Nokia was bought by Microsoft. They’ve decided to make cheaper Lumia models but that didn’t make many people leave their Nokia Asha or Nokia S40 devices, mostly because of the easy interface they come with.
WhatsApp application has been available for these devices for quite some time, so most of the WhatsApp features that are available on Android, iOS, BlackBerry 10 are also available on Nokia Asha or S40 devices also.
If rumors prove to be right, the Voice Calling feature will soon hit both the Nokia Asha and S40 devices, which will make a lot of users happy. Hopefully, soon enough, WhatsApp’s developers will make an official announcement regarding the Voice Calling feature on these two types of devices.
