Google Play Download for Android

The Google Play Store is the gateway for a whole range of applications that you may want to download and run on your Android device. Google Play not already installed on your device?

If you have recently bought a smartphone or laptop that does not have Google Play Store already installed on it then you will need to manually download it. The good news is that it is very easy to download the app on to your Android device.

To download the app, you will need to manually download the APK, which is an Android version of an executable file on your personal computer. There are two ways to download the app on to your device. The first one is to directly download it on your phone and the second one is to download it to your computer.

If you choose to use the first method then you will have to do the following:

Download Google Play manually on your phone:

Perform a Google search for the newest version of Google Play Store and then download the APK file to your Android device. Next, enable UNKNOWN SOURCES in the security settings of your device. There is nothing to worry about in enabling UNKNOWN SOURCES as it refers to those locations that are not included in Play Store.

After you have downloaded the APK file you need to click on it in your Downloads folder and then click on the INSTALL button. Once the installation has been completed, you can then disable the UNKNOWN SOURCES.

Once the Google Play Store has been downloaded on your device, you will then need to accept the PERMISSIONS. After this the application will download itself and GOOGLE PLAY will also install GOOGLE SERVICES FRAMEWORK, which is used by Google to help Google Play communicate with all your applications so that it is aware about when it needs to update the apps. This is all that it takes to download GOOGLE PLAY on your phone.

To be absolutely safe, you need to make sure that you only install the APKs from a trusted source and that before you download from a site you need to look at feedback of the site to makes sure that the app functions well before it is installed. This will prevent any unnecessary headaches further down the line.


In case your device does not already have Google Play pre-installed on it, then you have to manually download the app on your Android device. The steps described above are easy to follow and anyone who follows the instructions will be able to get the app downloaded and installed in a matter of a few minutes. Google Play was earlier known as Android Market and is the official store for all Android applications and games as well as different content for an Android powered device.
