If you’ve seen Dragon Ball Z, the predecessor series to Dragon Ball Super, surely you know about the Saiyan Saga. It’s the very first saga of DBZ, one that reveals Goku’s true origins as an alien who came to Earth with the sole purpose of destroying all of its inhabitants. But it took a bump on Goku’s head for him to become a good guy and a defender of the planet, as we all know him.

The Saiyan Saga was also part of the old-school stuff of Dragon Ball Z, as that’s also the period when Vegeta was introduced. At first, the proud Saiyan was evil to the core, as he even killed his own partner for being too weak against Goku. The Saiyan Saga also presented the first epic battle between Goku and Vegeta, when we could see the unforgettable beam clash between Goku’s Kamehameha and Vegeta’s Galick Gun.

The Saiyan Saga parody is out

The guys from the Mega64 YouTube channel are well-known for making live-action parodies of Dragon Ball Z sagas. They did it with the Majin Buu Saga, the Frieza Saga, and even with the Cell Saga. Once again, they’ve made a brand new live-action parody of the notorious Saiyan Saga from Dragon Ball Z, and let’s just say that it looks hilarious:

Much later in the anime, Vegeta slowly but surely became one of the good guys, as he started to fight for world peace and to take down the bad guys alongside Goku and the gang. Vegeta even sacrificed himself in the Majin Buu arc in order to try to stop Buu in his tracks, which was an incredibly noble act from the Saiyan Prince, considering how evil he was when he was first introduced to the show.

Dragon Ball is up and running even today throuugh the Dragon Ball Super Manga and the Super Dragon Ball Heroes promotional anime.
