A recent Cyberpunk 2077 update has players really confused yet amazed. What could it be?! Well, it’s about Cyberpunk 2077’s Overdrive mode that introduces ray tracing. So, what’s wrong with that? Only if your system comes with the appropriate hardware, everything can turn into a unique experience and force of nature, aka ray tracing in action. The Overdrive mode goes beyond the capabilities of the current hardware and is available to all users. If it’s hard to believe that, you can judge the matter by reading what the game’s devs said about a screenshot (only a screenshot, yes!):

Note that the higher the resolution and the less powerful the GPU is, the longer it will take to take a screenshot (between a few seconds to several minutes).

Quite impressive and tough, isn’t it?!

To get Overdrive Mode to run on your system, you’ll really need to set some things straight and, obviously, own one of the newest and most expensive graphics cards from the Nvidia 40 series. So, suppose you got what it takes, get ready to see a version of Cyberpunk 2077 that’ll blow your mind!

While Overdrive Mode seems to be so out of reach for the majority of PC gamers, thanks to Digital Foundry, we get to see an incredible guided tour of Night City that you can watch below:

With a sleek RTX 4090 GPU and a DLSS performance mode on, the gaming tech experts recorded a masterpiece playing at 4K and 60 frames per second.

Further Cyberpunk 2077 news includes another incredible release, which is the game’s only expansion, dubbed Phantom Liberty. More details about this expansion are still unknown, except for a soon release this summer. And the best thing so far: a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is currently in developing by CD Projekt. The devs have just opened a brand-new studio and hired some of the original game’s creators to work on it. How cool is that?!
