The developers of WhatsApp have brought a new BETA version of this application for Nokia Asha devices and other devices that run on Symbian 40, such as Nokia Asha or Nokia C3.
The latest WhatsApp 2.12.88 BETA for S40 devices doesn’t come with any significant changes. The developers probably just fixed a few errors and bugs that they’ve found on the previous BETA version. Keep in mind that since this version is currently in BETA, it can’t be downloaded from the Nokia Store (currently named Opera Mobile Store). However, you can still download it on your Nokia S40 device as long as you download the installation file from the official WhatsApp webpage.
HINT: Since this version is currently in BETA, you might find some annoying bugs and errors. In case you want a bug-free WhatsApp application, then you should download and install the latest WhatsApp STABLE version from the Opera Mobile Store.
Also, we remind you that in case you’ve paid the annual fee for your WhatsApp, you will not have to pay the fee again.
Installing WhatsApp 2.12.88 BETA on your Nokia S40 device
In order to download the installation file for your Nokia S40, you will need to open the browser on your mobile device and head to whatsapp.com/s40. From there you will be able to download the installation file of WhatsApp 2.12.88 and manually install it on your Nokia S40 smartphone.
Unfortunately, there is no news about when or if the Voice Calling feature will be added to the WhatsApp application for Nokia S40 devices. Unfortunately, we think that there are very low chances for this to happen.
