The latest stable version of WhatsApp that you can find on the Google Play Store is 2.12.124. However, in case you want to know what the WhatsApp application will receive in the future, you will want to test out the BETA versions that are being released almost daily nowadays.
The latest BETA version of WhatsApp is 2.12.151 and it was released today. The new BETA version doesn’t come with new features, but the developers brought some bug fixes and errors that they’ve found in the previous BETA version. If the previous rumors prove to be right, the Google Drive feature will be implemented soon enough and WhatsApp’s users will be able to save all the WhatsApp Chat History on the cloud.
There are also rumors saying that the developers of WhatsApp are going to introduce the Video Calling feature sometime soon. However, this was not confirmed by anyone from inside.
WhatsApp 2.12.151 BETA for Android
WhatsApp 2.12.151 is currently in BETA, which means that this version can’t be found on the Google Play Store. As we’ve told you above, on the Google Play Store you will find WhatsApp 2.12.124 (STABLE version), which features Voice Calling, WhatsApp Web and many other features.
However, in order to install WhatsApp 2.12.151 on your Android device, you will need to uninstall the current WhatsApp application that you have installed on your mobile device. After that, you will need download the APK file of WhatsApp 2.12.151 from whatsapp.com/android and enable Unknown Sources option that’s found on Settings->Security (in case you have an older Android OS version, you will find it on Settings->Applications). After enabling this feature, you will need to open a file manager application and go to the place where you’ve saved the WhatsApp 2.12.151 APK file.
Once you’re there, tap on the APK file and the installation will start. Complete the installation and use your mobile phone number to get verified and start using the latest WhatsApp 2.12.151 BETA.
