Five Features on Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge You Probably Didn’t Know

Samsung’s phones from the Galaxy line are one of the most popular smartphones in the world.

Every new model vows the critics and the phones are known for their feature-rich approach. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are the two latest phones in the line, and they come with a variety of new features. While you might know the most popular and common features, we present you five you probably didn’t know, but you could use.

Screenshot

Taking a screenshot on the Galaxy S6 Edge and the standard Galaxy S6 is extremely easy. All you need to do is swipe the screen from left to right and snap the screen that is currently displayed. For the operation to be successful, you need to swipe with your whole hand, not just your thumb. The classic screenshot works differently on Samsung’s devices as well, as you need to press the Power and the Home button at the same time.

Easy Mode

The new flagships from Samsung, the S6 and S6 Edge will bring a bloatfree TouchWiz UI. However, there is another way you can reduce the amount of applications displayed in your menu. If you prefer a simple UI, switch to Easy Mode, a feature you will find in the settings of the phone. Easy Mode makes the icons larger and you get access just to the simple functions of the device, such as calls, messages, internet browsing and emails.

Find My Mobile

If you ever lose your phone, the “Find My Mobile” feature will help you find it. For this option to work, you must sync your Samsung smartphone with another device (tablet, laptop or desktop PC). The feature is available for S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users, and you can find it in settings.

Multitasking

‘Multi windows’ is a feature that is present in the Samsung Galaxy line since the introduction of the S3. However, many people forget to use it due to the small screen size. But the S6 offers enough space with the 5.1 inches display. ‘Multi windows’ is accessed differently on the S6 and S6 Edge. To start using multi windows, press the multi tasking button.

Smart Stay

Another feature that had its debut with the Galaxy S3, the Smart Stay feature allows the front facing camera to detect whether the user is viewing the display. If not, the feature will automatically turn off the display, preserving the battery. Another bonus is that your screen will not be turned off while you read messages or longer emails.
