Asus Zenfone 2 vs OnePlus Two – Top Specs and Features Comparison

The Taiwanese company released three variants of the Zenfone 2: the high-end ZE551ML model, the mid-range ZE550ML and the weaker ZE500CL model. The first variant is the first smartphone to support 4GB of RAM, which makes it a serious threat to other famous flagships. On the other hand, OnePlus announced that the company will release a successor for the OnePlus One and its arrival is expected in the third quarter of the year.

The ZE551ML model has a similar design to the LG G3, meaning that it features a brushed metal body with the physical buttons (Power and Volume) placed on the back, below the rear camera, while the front panel is black and features a metallic band below the screen. The size of the display is 5.5inches and it uses IPS technology, to render a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at 403ppi. The device has a thickness of 10.9mm, a weight of 170 grams, and it’s powered by two types of quad core Intel Atom processors: Z3580, clocked at 2.3GHz and supporting 4GB of RAM, and Z3560 clocked at 1.8GHz, which couples with 2GB of RAM. There are three storage options: 16/32/64 GB, but only the first two variants support expansion up to 64GB. The Zenfone 2 runs on Android v5.0 (Lollipop) with Asus ZenUI on top of it, and has two cameras: the front one is 5MP, and the back one is 13MP with dual-LED flash, autofocus and f/2.0 apertures. It’s kept alive by a 3000mAh battery, which is non-removable.

OnePlus Two

The specifications of the OnePlus Two haven’t been confirmed yet by the Chinese manufacturer, but according to GSMArena, the device will feature a 5.5inches LTPS LCD screen with the same resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at 401ppi, which will be protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 (the Zenfone 2 uses Gorilla Glass 3). Its dimensions will be 152.9×75.9×8.9mm, it will weight 166grams and will sport a rear camera of 16MP with dual-LED flash, HDR, while some rumors say that it will support 4K video recording.

The front camera will be 5MP and will record at 1080p@30fps. Internally, it will hide a 64bit Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset that will be powered by an octa core consisting of a quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 and a quad-core 2GHz Cortex-A57. It will run on Android v5.1 (Lollipop) with CyanogenMod UI on top of it and will support 3GB of RAM. The internal memories are fixed and with capacities of 16 and 64GB. The battery will be relatively bigger, of 3300mAh, but it will be non-removable.
