The newest Witcher installment has been unexpectedly announced, leaving fans speculating when they will be able to get it.

The Witcher franchise, developed by CD Projekt Red, is one of the most popular video game series ever. Following the success of Witcher 3, the creators worked entirely on Cyberpunk 2077, which was published in 2020, however it did not meet the developers’ expectations. At debut, the game lacked a lot of content and, more significantly, the performance was terrible.

Cyberpunk 2077 has improved significantly after a lot of patches and after months since its first release. The developers have now revealed their long-term plans.

CD Projekt Red has stated that they are working on the next installment in the Witcher franchise, despite earlier rumors. CD Projekt Red has made contradictory remarks about it in the past, giving a lot of occasions for speculation regarding the franchise’s future. However, it appears that CD Projekt Red has a vision for the future game. Apart from a medallion and the phrase “A New Saga Begins,” not much has been released about the game.

What we know about it so far

If you’re wondering when Witcher 4 will be released, the bad news is that no release date has been confirmed yet.  Obviously, with the game is still very much in development, an upcoming release date, as well as the platform on which it will be accessible, is out of the question. However, there are no intentions for the game to only be available to Epic.

According to numerous sources: CD Projekt SA has agreed on a 15-year deal with Epic Games Inc. for the use and development of the latter company’s Unreal Engine and is starting the partnership with the next entry in its popular The Witcher series.”
