Android 5.0 Lollipop was born towards the end of last year.
However, since this new version of the Android OS came into being, there are still a good number of devices that were expected to receive the updates, but are yet to get this update.
One of these devices is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which was scheduled to get the update sometime in the first quarter of 2015. Now that we are into the second quarter of 2015, this Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update has now been made available for download.
T-Mobile was among the first mobile carriers to start rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates for their Galaxy Note 3 users in the U.S. After some time, it seems the users of AT&T can now join in and start updating to the latest version of the Android Lollipop operating system.
How to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on your Galaxy Note 3?
Users of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, using AT&T can now download the latest version of the Android 5.0 Lollipop to their devices. In order to update your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 operating system to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, you must first of all have enough storage space on your device. Since this update is available over the air, you can update it directly from your phone.
Go to your Galaxy Note 3’s settings and then tap on the General tab. Follow this by opening the “About Device” window and then tap on “Software updates”. After that, click on “Check for updates” and you’ll see a message pop up notifying you that there are updates available for download on your device. The installation will take a little time before it initializes. Accept that you want to download and update your phone and after a few minutes, the process will be over and your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be running on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.
You don’t have to worry about anything to do with creating a backup as long as you have enough storage space, since this update will not change any other file on your device.
During the update, all phone operations will be suspended and you must ensure that the phone has enough power. Once the installation is complete, the device will automatically restart and you will get a message that your Galaxy Note 3 is now ready for use.

This is by far the best Android OS there is and with it, you’ll enjoy improved performance as well as a whole new experience when using your phone, be it when on the web, listening to music or playing games.
Lollipop brings a brand new material design (MD), improvements in the battery life of your phone as well as smart lock notifications. You can also access the priority mode, which works in the same way as the silent mode.
Verizon and Sprint users to wait a little longer
At the moment, it is only the users of T-Mobile and AT&T who can update their Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphones to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, there is no news of when Verizon and Sprint users will get this update; however, this is expected to be very soon, probably in a week’s time.
