Android devices cover up a huge percentage of the smartphone market, due to the fact that they are everywhere and they have representatives in all smartphone classes. Today, we are bringing you two Android smartphones that have done pretty good upon their release and are worth checking out.
The Galaxy Grand 2 comes with 0.35 inches in thickness and a total weight of 163 grams. This makes the device thinner but heavier than the Galaxy Grand Duos which measures 0.38 inches in thickness, but has a slightly lighter body, with 162 grams under its belt.
The display on the Galaxy Grand 2 measures 5.25 inches and has a 1280 x 720 resolution. The pixel density for this device is 280 ppi. On the other hand, the Galaxy Grand Duos features only 5 inches and an 800 x 480 resolution. The pixel density is also lower, with only 187 ppi. The display on the Grand Duos is WVGA whilthe one on the Grand 2 is HD.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, according to GSM Arena, comes with a pretty god processing unit in the form of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Cortex A7. The processor is a quad core unit and has a clock speed of 1.2 GHz for its cores. The graphics processing is handled by the Adreno 305 GPU while the 1.5 GB of RAM chip in for the smooth navigation that comes as a result.
A Broadcom BCM28155 chipset can be found on the Grand Duos, as its Cortex A9 processor comes with a 1.2 GHz clock speed, but isn’t quad core. The Videocore 4 is the GPU in charge of graphics on this device, and the list of specs is completed by the 1 GB of RAM included.
In terms of camera, the devices take a break from their skirmish and shake hands, as both come with the same 1.9 MP camera on the front panel and the 8 MP lens placed on the rear. Both devices come of course, with LED flash and the standard camera features such as autofocus.
In the end, the Galaxy Grand 2 showed that it is superior in almost all sections of the comparison, as it bested the Grand Duos at every step. The Grand 2 is clearly the better choice, as it comes with an HD screen and better internal parts that make sure you have a smooth and pleasurable user experience.
