iPhone 5C vs Nokia Lumia 925 – Price and Specs Comparison

Nokia still needs to improve the quality of the cameras from the Lumia smartphones, as the 925 model fails to impress with the blurred images. The iPhone 5C is a great phone which takes great photos, but it has a small battery capacity. The perfect smartphone hasn’t been created yet, and until then, you’ll have to choose from the existing options. We’ll compare the Lumia 925 with the iPhone 5C to see which one appears to be more advantageous.

Displays, designs and sizes

The framework of the Lumia 625 is a combination between metal and plastic. The phone is stylish and feels comfortable in your hands, having a 4.5inches display (AMOLED), measuring 129×70.6×8.5mm, and weighting 139grams. The screen supports a resolution of 768x1280pixels and a pixel density of 332ppi, offering rich and vibrant colors.

The iPhone 5C has polycarbonate shell which is available in many color options. It’s a lot smaller than the Lumia 925, having a LED-backlit IPS LCD display of 4inches, with a lower resolution – 640x1136pixels and a pixel density of 326ppi. The dimensions of this nice smartphone are 124.4×59.2x9mm, and it weights 7grams less than its rival.

The Lumia 925 uses the same processor as its predecessor, the 920 model. The iPhone 5c comes with a decent Dual-core 1.3GHz Swift (ARM v7-based) processor which uses Apple;s A6 chipset and an PowerVR SGX 543MP3 (triple-core graphics) GPU. The OS is iOS 7, which was upgraded to 7.1.2 and now it’s waiting to be upgraded to the latest iOS 8. It supports 4G, has 1 GB of RAM and three variants of unexpandable internal memories: 8/16/32 GB.

Cameras

The Lumia 925 is equipped with an 8MP primary camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, optical image stabilization, dual LED flash, PureView technology, touch focus, 1/3” sensor size, video recording at 1080p@30fps. The other camera is 1.3MP.

The iPhone 5C has also an 8MP rear camera with many features found on the Lumia 925, and it addition it offers simultaneous HD video and image recording, HDR panorama and 1.4µm pixel size. The video recording is the same at 1080p@30fps, and the secondary camera is 1.2MP.

Batteries

Both of the phones have non-removable batteries. The Nokia handset has a Li-Ion 2000mAh battery (BL-4YW) which allows up to 12 hours and 40 minutes of talk time on 3G. The iPhone 5C has a Li-Po 1507mAh battery, which provides only 10hours of talk time on 3G.

Prices

Both the Lumia 925 and the iPhone 5C can be found on amazon.com. The Nokia handset costs 315 dollars, being a lot cheaper than the 16GB variant of the iPhone 5C – 495 dollars.
