You may be jumping for joy about the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update. However, that is probably until you realize all of the problems that pop up once you start using your device with the new installed update.
It is sad when you think you are getting an update and it ends up messing your device worse than it was!
That can be very frustrating. Many users are experiencing many issues with the update that have left their devices in disarray. There are some common problems that people are facing and I hope that some of these tips will help you with those annoying issues.
It is a pretty known fact that with any kind of update there will be WiFi issues. Many users are complaining that they either cannot get online at all or are continuously getting dropped. There is not a whole lot you can do until they do a software updates. But there are a few small things that might help you survive until then.
Some people are able to set their device back to factory settings but that does not work for everybody. One other trick might be to make some room on your device by deleting some of the old apps you don’t use anymore. You can try to reboot your router and your device and see if that helps.
These are not definite or permanent fixes but might help you through the frustration.
There have also been some battery issues that users have been experiencing. The battery life seems to drag down quite a bit and does not keep a charge for very long. Sometimes a factory reset will help but only on certain devices. It is a good idea to check how much battery juice some of the apps you have are taking up. Some of that can interfere with the update and cause the battery to drain more quickly.
Video playback issues have also been a problem. A lot of people have been noticing some lagging and buffering that they did not experience before the Lollipop 5.0 update. Some users have found it helpful to disable NuPlayer which frees up some space and may speed up the videos you watch.
This isn’t a sure thing, and most of these issues cannot be fixed until they provide their users with a software update. Lagging and buffering is an issue with this update and that goes for everything. Re-booting sometimes helps but most of these are just temporary solutions for a long-term problem that can only be solved by the makers of the product.
It is never any fun when you get an update for your device and it turns out you were better off before. You expect an update to improve your device not cause you more problems. One can only hope that these are temporary problems that will be repaired with a new software update.
Hopefully if the users are patient enough, all of these bugs and glitches will work themselves out over time. Until then, hang in there and hope for the best.
