As we shared the news just a few weeks ago, Dragon Ball fans need to prepare for a brand-new fighting game. It shall be known as “Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero,” and we have all the reasons to be excited if we’re fans of the well-known franchise.

First of all, “Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero” is the continuation of the highly popular Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series. It’s practically Tenkaichi Budokai 4, meaning that the series will be revived after a long hiatus of 16 years. We already know 16 of the characters that will appear in the roster of fighters for the new game: Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, Gohan, Yamcha, Tien, etc. However, the roster of fighters that Sparking! Zero will bring will be much more impressive if we take for granted a new leak that GameRant.com talks about.

“Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero” will likely have the biggest roster of fighters ever

If we take a look back in time at Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, the latest game of the series, we realize that it had an impressive number of fighters for its time: 98 characters in 161 forms.

If the new leak is correct, it means that the upcoming “Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero” game will even contain characters from the Dragon Ball Daima anime that will launch in the fall of 2024. Of course, characters from both Dragon Ball Z and Super will also be there in the roster. While we don’t know exactly what characters will be in Daima, all we can do at this point is speculate. We only know that Goku and the gang will be transformed into kids by an evil entity, which could mean that we’ll get to see kid versions of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan, and the rest in the upcoming game as well. It will be interesting to see if their powers will be downgraded as well.

Previous sources indicate that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will have the biggest roster of fighters ever for a Dragon Ball game. This means that we can expect to see characters from all the Dragon Ball anime and movies, and maybe even from the manga that have never been adapted for the anime. We could see Moro and Granolah, two of the characters that appear in the Dragon Ball Super Manga and not in the anime as well, as they were introduced after the Tournament of Power arc from Super that appeared on TV.

Dragon Ball Daima: what we know so far

Akira Toriyama, the original creator of Dragon Ball, is also the one who writes the story for the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime, which will come out in the fall of 2024. The anime will somehow pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball. However, other people will also contribute to the story of DDaima along with Toriyama.

In Dragon Ball Daima, a new and mysterious threat emerges, and it has taken notice of the defeat of Majin Buu. There will be two new antagonists, but we still don’t know anything else about them. A new wish to Shenron will make Goku and his friends become children. Of course, we can’t abstain from comparing this plot to the one from Dragon Ball GT, where Goku has also become a child in the first episode of the series because of a mistake involving Shenron, the Eternal Dragon.

The events of Dragon Ball Daima will take place after the defeat of Kid Buu but also before the events that took place in Dragon Ball Super.

Only time will tell for sure what Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero and Dragon Ball Daima have in store for us, so stay tuned for more information!
