How to Create a Gmail Account

Once you have accessed or decided on the information you will use in Gmail, the next step is to set up your personal account. This is not as complicated as many people think. Power your computer, open its browser, and load www.gmail.com uniform resource locator (URL). On the page that opens, browse to the bottom and click the “Create an account” hyperlink.

Once done, another page will open with a sign up form in which you must input your names (first and surname), a username, your birthday, a password, your country of residence, your phone number, and other details. Locate the list that you generated in step 1 and fill the form. Make sure that your details are as accurate as possible. You should also make sure that you choose a strong password (with a mixture of characters and number) to keeps your personal information and emails secure once you start using Gmail.

Using your names or a word that hackers can guess easily might work against you in the future. Finally, click and review Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. If they are favorable, click the checkbox written, “I agree to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy” and click next to complete the account setup stage.

Step 3: Customization

If you inputted the correct information and your account set up process completed successfully, customize your account by doing the following: on the “Create your Profile” page that opens, click add photo and upload a photograph to your Gmail account. This is important, especially if you will be using the account for work and or want contacts to recognize your mails on the outset.
