Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players prepare for the World Tournament DLC that will come out in just a few days. Due to this new expansion, the fans will have the chance to be in the shoes of Goku when he was a teenager and fought Piccolo Jr. during the World Martial Arts Tournament.

The forthcoming DLC speculates the last arc of the very first Dragon Ball anime. Piccolo was the main villain at that time; he was so evil that he was looking for world domination. He hated Goku with everything he had, as one of his main motivations was to kill the beloved Saiyan.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s DLC 5 launches on August 17

Even as a teenager, Goku was always looking to become stronger. He was easily one of the strongest fighters on Earth, while Piccolo was seriously armed with some impressive techniques. At the world tournament, the two warriors fought with everything they had. However, other characters put on some impressive performances as well. We can mention, for instance, Tien, one of the oldest Dragon Ball characters. The fighter fought Goku in the semifinals, and he impressed with his technique of multiplying himself into four warriors.

Tien was no easy adversary for Goku, that’s for sure, as the Saiyan had a lot to struggle with while fighting. On the other side, Piccolo had to face Krillin in the semifinals, and surprisingly enough, the little fighter put on a decent match against the nefarious Namekian.

The final of the World Tournament in Dragon Ball was disputed between Goku and Piccolo. The two fighters engaged in a long and bloody battle. It was easily one of the best fights in the history of the franchise, and we couldn’t be any happier that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is recreating it in a new DLC.
