Some iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro mobile phones have a few issues with their speakers. Apple has released a statement, saying they will solve the problem.

“If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not emit sound from the receiver when you make or receive calls, it may be eligible for service. Apple or an Apple authorized Service Provider will service eligible devices, free of charge.”

Apple offers three options to choose from. They examine the devices, and then they do the repair work. They first need to see if the phones qualify for the free repair program.

So what are the three options?

  • The first option is to find an Authorized Apple Service Provider.
  • The second option is to make an appointment at a nearby Apple Store
  • The third option is to contact Apple Support. They will send your phone to the company using the Apple Repair Center.

All of these three options will require your Apple ID. You will need to back up your phone with iCloud, or simply on your computer.

What happens if your phone has other problems, as well?

If your iPhone has, for example, a cracked screen, then you might need to repair that before dealing with the sound problem. We know this might annoy some users. Apple stated: “If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro has any damage which impairs the ability to complete the repair, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the additional repair.”

This had happened with the battery fiasco, as well, when Apple demanded the phone to be without flaws when it comes to them for a replaced battery.
