Hinokami Chronicles is the Demon Slayer 3D arena fighting game, and it seems it has found its way to Nintendo Switch. We finally have a release date for Japan, and we have all the details. Fans are excited about it, and we cannot wait to see what developers have prepared for us.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba The Hinokami Chronicles  is the first adaptation for console made by Koyoharu Gotouge. It was released back in October 2021 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. And now, it will also be here for Nintendo Switch.

So when is the release date?

The game will be released in Japan on the 9th of June, 2022, on Switch, for 6980 Yen. The limited edition will be sold for 11,800 Yen. This one includes bonus costumes and 16000 Kimetsu Points, that will help you unlock even more playable characters in Versus Mode and content. We will get more info on it this month.

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba The Hinokami Chronicles was made by CyberConnect2, which is known for the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm series. They are actually quite similar, if we are to take a look at the gameplay.

The game has a lot of free DLC characters post-release, but they were all supposed to be played from the very beginning, since most of them appear in Story Mode.

Maybe a possible sequel, adapting more than just Mugen Train arc, will come with better ambitions, more playable characters – maybe even Hashira?

CyberConnect2 has released Fuuga: Melodies of Steel on all platforms. There’s also a Switch port of .Hack//G.U. Last Recode remaster, that will be available on March 11, 2022.
