The WhatsApp developers are in working continuously on their application, releasing a new BETA version every now and then. Currently, the latest WhatsApp BETA version is 2.12.67 and it can be downloaded from the official WhatsApp website (whatsapp.com).
Unfortunately, this new version still doesn’t allow you to save conversations on Google Drive and, to benefit from this feature, you must install WhatsApp v2.12.45 ALPHA version. WhatsApp v2.12.67 comes with 14 modified files and the APK file is only 10KB bigger than the previous version, which means that there are not too many changes done to this latest version. It seems that the developers fixed a few bugs and they’ve brought some improvements to the application.
WhatsApp v2.12.67 is currently in BETA and it can’t be downloaded from the Google Play Store. However, in case you want to test out this new WhatsApp version, you can head to the official WhatsApp website (whatsapp.com) and download the WhatsApp 2.12.67 APK in your device.
Installing WhatsApp 2.12.67 APK on Android
After downloading the WhatsApp 2.12.67 APK from the official WhatsApp website, you will have to install it on your device. This can’t be done if you don’t enable an option that allows you to install APK files that have not been downloaded through the Google Play Store. Depending on the Android OS version your device is running, this option is found on either Settings->Security or Settings Applications. To enable it, you will just need to check the box in front the option.
After Unknown Sources is enabled, you will just need to go back to the location where you’ve saved WhatsApp 2.12.67 APK file and install it. When the installation is completed, use your mobile phone number to get verified and start using the new WhatsApp version on your Android device.
HINT: WhatsApp 2.12.67 version is currently in BETA, which means that there is a high possibility that you will encounter bugs or other issues, which will be fixed by the developers until they release a stable version of WhatsApp 2.12.67.
