The federal government will be closed again Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, according to a new status update from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), after three days of being closed due to snow.
“the following message applies only to Thursday, February 11, 2010” the OPM.Gov status page says. It further says “Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are CLOSED.”
The above message only applies to Nonemergency employees and it does not apply to employees on leave without pay and non-pay employees in other categories.
Emergency employees are required to report at work on time and there are further details for telework employees and employees on alternative work schedules.
