Canadian Tenors to Sing on Oprah Winfrey Show

The Canadian Tenors – Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters – are in the midst of an 80-city North American tour. They're also booked for "Dr. Phil" on Friday.

Later this week, the Tenors appear on Dr. Phil, the singer's father said. The group is in Vancouver preparing for an undisclosed Olympic appearance.

Murray joined the Toronto-based tenors about a year ago, according to his father. He described his son as having "a rare, gifted talent," which has allowed him to succeed with minimal formal training.

Craig Murray describes himself as singer and guitarist, but credits his father George Murray for both daughter Georgia Murray's and Clifton's singing talent. George Murray, an Irish tenor, made frequent appearances on such early CBC-TV variety programs such as the Juliette Show.

On Sunday, they're scheduled to sing the national anthem at the NBA all-star game in Dallas.
