Undercover Boss Larry O’Donnell Premiered on CBS
Undercover Boss which is CBS’ latest television series about the boss of a major corporation pretending to be a trainee to work as an entry-level worker in his/her own company to find out how it really is to be a minimum wage employee in the United States premiered last night. Boss featured President and COO of Waste Management, Inc., Larry O’Donnell.

This fast-paced program shows what it's like to be an underling, and how much pressure the employees are under to make a living. The Waste Management COO finds that sleep is hard to come by, especially after he sees the lives of some of his workers up close and personal. Larry O'Donnell started in Syracuse, at a recycling center, where he had to sort trash from recyclables on a fast-moving line, even though he was told it was a slow line. He found out that the employees' biggest frustrations are that their boss Kevin watches them on camera all the time during work and that they are docked two minutes for every minute they are late over lunch.
One of the most touching parts of Undercover Boss on CBS was Larry O'Donnell's experience picking up trash. His boss Walter works really hard and can fill a large trash bag in 10 minutes despite his poor health (he needs kidney dialysis), thanks to his work ethic. Though at first, Walter came across as very condescending. Yet O'Donnell can't even fill a full bag in that time, and after a number of attempts, Walter lets who he thinks is Randy Lawrence go. When he visits the High Acres Landfill in upstate New York, he finds out the story of Jaclyn, who is the "Jackie of all trades" around the site, but her pay doesn't reflect it even though she basically keeps that landfill going by doing way more than her fair share of the work. She's survived cancer and has got lots of mouths to feed as O'Donnell finds out during a dinner visit on the CBS premiere of Undercover Boss.
