Gina Campisi Found Dead in Dallas Home

Gina Campisi, a Dallas restaurateur, was found dead in her home today in what appeared to be a suicide. An autopsy of the 26-year-old is pending, but the examiner's office wouldn't go into any details about the circumstances of her death.

Campisi, 26, was found inside a home on the 6700 block of East Mockingbird Lane, the Dallas County medical examiner said.  A family friend told NBC DFW that Campisi's death appears to be a suicide.

It was just this morning when one of my friends, who is a doctor helping people with mental health condition that this is a busy time of the year with suicides. For some reason more people commit suicide this time of the year. She told me this in the morning and here in the afternoon we hear the news about an apparent suicide of a well known Dallas young restaurateur Gina Campisi.

Her family owned the legendary pizza restaurant, Campisi's Egyptian Lounge. She later opened an upscale Italian restaurant called Fedora. Fedora restaurant offers classic Italian dishes like Pizzas and pastas in an upscale setting and the bar offers cocktails and specialty drinks that according to warning take longer to prepare.
