Tonight New Reality Show Hosted by Jeff Probst “Live for the Moment”

Live for the Moment, a new reality show hosted by Jeff Probst, premiered tonight on CBS. Well, we shouldn't call it a reality show yet. Tonight's airing was technically a "special." If the special does well, Live for the Moment will be picked up by CBS for future episodes.

Live for the Moment has the same inspirational message that its name implies. But there's more to it than that for the people who are featured on the show. Live for the Moment, which was originally titled Live Like You're Dying, sends terminally ill patients on the final big adventure of their lives. On tonight's episode, a family man who has ALS and only a few years to live, meets Buzz Aldrin, goes on an unforgettable ski trip, and witnesses a true celebration of his life.

The show, airing tonight at 8, was pitched as a pilot and will show Probst tagging along with a terminally ill man as he goes on an adventure.

"We have a great balance of adventure and inspiration," Probst says. "It's not a show to make you cry – it's a show designed to get you up off the couch and inspire you to live."

In a recent statement for Live for the Moment, Probst commented on the show's unique qualities at a time when viewers need something rewarding. "There is nothing like this on television right now: great adventure and powerful life lessons," stated Jeff Probst. "I think we are all yearning for something more, something that will inspire."

As for how Live for the Moment will evolve each week in terms if inspiration, Probst revealed how the new series will be filled with real and meaningful adventures. "Future episodes might include someone who survived a plane crash or maybe a professional athlete who suffered a life-changing injury. We will always endeavor to take viewers on a great adventure and, in the process, just maybe change the way they live their lives."
